Waste Management and Recycling Initiative

A trilateral partnership has been established with the Liberia Marketing Association, aimed at enhancing waste management efforts within markets across Monrovia. This collaboration has enabled us to introduce recycling practices within these commercial hubs, targeting both vendors and buyers in promoting sustainable practices.

  • Establishment of 7-Buy Back Centers Across Montserrado County, and provides Assorted Supplies for Each Center. Stakeholder Engagement Workshop The initiative breathed the establishment of 7 buy-back centers around 7-markets in Monrovia. As part of efforts to enhance buy-back center operations, through funding from the GIZ PPP project, Youth Crime Watch of Liberia procured and provided PPE (Robber gloves, nose masks, work suits raincoats, safety boots Eye protectors wheelbarrows, weighing scales and shovels) to Green Cities, Inc. to support the effectiveness of buy-back centers across Montserrado County. This initiative will enhance safety measures while waste is collected, sorted, and transported for recycling purposes
