Our Services

Our e-waste service promotes the safe management of electrical and electronic equipment by refurbishing and recycling. We give a second life to solar panels, cookstoves, computers, radios, and more. The aim is to reduce toxic e-waste in landfills, create jobs for youth and women, and protect soil and water from harmful pollution. By extending the use of devices and recycling responsibly, we build a cleaner, healthier environment for communities.
Plastic Recycling
Plastic recycling focuses on reducing, reusing, and recycling plastic waste to keep communities clean and create income opportunities. Community dwellers can collect 2kg of plastic and sell it to Green Cities to earn cash equal to 1kg of rice. The service mainly targets water sachets and gallons, which are common in Liberia. Collected plastics are crushed, cleaned, dried, and pelletized for end products such as student geometry tools, rubber latex cups, and even fuel like gas and diesel.

Organic waste composting transforms biodegradable waste into valuable organic fertilizer. Research from UNEP and Liberia’s EPA shows that waste generation has stayed above 40% since 2007, making composting a vital solution. Through Agro-Green Liberia, a Green Cities subsidiary, organic waste is converted into fertilizer that supports farmers, improves soil health, and reduces waste going to landfills. This process benefits both the environment and agriculture.

Our fumigation and disinfection service ensures safer and healthier living environments. We train and employ community youth, especially young women, to provide these services using eco-friendly methods. This helps prevent the spread of harmful pests and diseases while creating job opportunities. By promoting hygiene and safety standards, we contribute to protecting public health and reducing health risks in communities across Liberia.

Waste collection is the first step toward achieving our zero-waste goal. Unlike others, we apply a Win-Win Strategy where customers are trained to separate recyclables like cans, scrap, aluminum, and copper. The value of recyclables is weighed and deducted from their waste handling fee. For example, if Hotel Alpha pays $100 monthly and recyclables are worth $30, they only pay $70. This model reduces costs, promotes recycling, and builds customer trust.

We buy recyclables collected by young people in different communities to improve their income and livelihoods. This service runs regularly and strengthens local youth groups by giving them a steady source of support. Through this initiative, waste materials are collected, sorted, and reused while youth are encouraged to organize sustainably. The program empowers communities, reduces littering, and fosters a cleaner, greener environment.
